About Bets

Bets is a free, independent site that publishes daily football predictions. It has been running since 2015, first as Bets by MarcoPinheiro and now rebuilt from scratch. We don't sell tips, take bets or work for any bookmaker.

How the predictions work

Every night we collect the predictions published by dozens of independent football tipster and statistics sites for the upcoming fixtures, and match them to the same game even when each site spells the team names differently.

After each match we record the final result (home win, draw or away win) and check every source's prediction against it. That gives each source a trust score: the share of its past predictions that turned out right. A few sources are consistently wrong often enough that we count their pick against the outcome they predicted.

Our tip is the outcome the trusted sources agree on. Each source votes with its trust score, split evenly when it backs a double chance. When at least 80% of the weighted vote points to a home win (1), draw (X) or away win (2), that is the tip; otherwise we fall back to the best-supported double chance (1X, X2 or 12), or publish no tip at all when there is no real consensus.

Confidence combines how accurate the agreeing sources have been with how much of the total vote agrees with the tip, with a small boost when several sources independently agree. It is capped between 10% and 88%, because no football result is ever a certainty. Matches at or above 60% are listed under “Great Confidence”.

Results and history

Every past prediction stays on the site next to the final result and whether it won or lost, all the way back to 2016. Use the calendar at the top of the page to browse any day, or open a match for its details.

Responsible gambling

Predictions are statistics, not guarantees. Only bet what you can afford to lose, never chase losses, and gambling is for adults only (18+, or the legal age where you live).

Privacy and cookies

We don't have accounts and don't ask for personal data. Your theme and cookie choices are stored only in your own browser.

Only if you accept cookies, we load Google Analytics (with IP anonymisation) to count visits, and Google AdSense to show ads, which pay for the site. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and read how Google uses data from partner sites.

If you turn on notifications, your browser gives us an anonymous push subscription so we can tell you when the day's predictions are out. Turning notifications off removes it.
